Indonesia Australia Solidarity (IAS) is an open organisation based in Australia, formed to raise awareness about the mass based, democratic movements in Indonesia that are fighting for social and environmental justice and the rights of the oppressed majority, including women, workers, farmers, students and the urban poor.. We aim to support and forge links with these movements and the organisations that lead them.

Death on boat
One of the asylum seekers on the boat stranded at Merak has died overnight. At this stage the circumstances of the death are unknown, however it is believed to be a male. More information will be posted soon.
